Izmir International Mural Painting Workshop

In the “Izmir International Mural Painting Workshop” framework organized by the Metropolitan Municipality, eight walls in Alsancak and Konak were painted with colorful motifs. The people of Izmir received the extraordinary works very well.

The international mural painting workshop of Izmir, which Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organizes in the framework of the 150th-anniversary events of Izmir Municipality, has already given the city a different atmosphere from the works produced. The results of 8 artists, selected by the jury of the workshop among 92 artists from 23 countries, were performed on eight walls in Konak and Alsancak. It has been reported that four mural artists are from Turkey, and four others are from France, Serbia, Colombia, and Ecuador. Faculty of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylul University students also helped the artists.

The selection committee evaluated the works and was a professorship from the Arcane University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD)—the doctor. M. Turan Aksoy is a professor from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. The doctor. Cebrail Ötgün and lecturer from Dokuz Eylul University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. It consisted of Hamdi Gokova and graffiti artists Alper Bichaklioglu and Erman Yilmaz.
